Change a layer’s fill or stroke to a pattern

  1. Select a layer on the canvas.
  2. Click the swatch in the Fill section of the right sidebar to open the color picker.
  3. Select Pattern from the fill options.
  4. Click Select source, then select another object on the canvas.
  5. Use the pattern options to set the tile type, scale, spacing, alignment, and opacity.

Pattern fills are dynamic. If you update the pattern’s source object, the pattern will automatically update on each layer where its used.
