Who can use this feature

  • Supported on any team or plan.
  • Applies to Figma Design files only.
  • Anyone with can view access can view and explore pages in a design file.
  • Anyone with can edit access to a file can create and manage pages.

Design files can contain multiple pages, giving you more space to explore.

Each page has a canvas where you arrange your frames, groups, and layers. Pages have a finite size of around -130,000 through +130,000 on each axis.

Pages also give you an extra layer of organization within your files. This is something to think about when it comes to structuring your files and projects.

  • Create pages for different stages of the design process, or show which designs are ready for development with a dedicated page.
  • Have separate pages for different milestones in a project, including static pages for design critiques or feedback sessions.
  • Create dedicated pages for your main components and style definitions. Get in the habit of moving new components to the dedicated page.
  • Create pages for exploring each user flow. Currently, you can create multiple prototypes in a page, but you can only preview one flow.
  • Add visual clues to help collaborators identify appropriate work. Like "spacer" pages to create more distinction between pages or emojis to communicate purpose and status.

  2. Select a page in the page list to view that page in the canvas.

Create pages

Create a new blank page from scratch, or duplicate an existing page.

  • In Starter team files, you're limited to a maximum of three pages per file.

Move layers between pages

You can move layers between pages. This is handy when you want to break up a large file and allows you to keep any comments associated with those layers intact.

  1. Select any layer in the canvas or Layers panel.
  2. Right-click the layer to open the menu.
  3. Select Move to page and then choose the page you'd like to move it to
  4. We will move the layers to the same coordinates on the selected page.
