Who can use this feature
Available on any team or plan
If you log in to Figma using an email address and password, you can reset your password from the log in screen.
If you log in to Figma using Google SSO, your email address and password is managed by Google. You will need to change your password in your Google account.
If you log in to Figma with your company email address via SAML SSO, your organization's identity provider manages your login details. We recommend contacting your IT department for help updating your email address or password.
Note: If you are already logged in to your Figma account and know your current password, you can update your password from your account settings.
Reset a forgotten password
- Go to figma.com or open the Figma desktop app.
- Select Log in from the navigation menu.
- Click Reset password.
- Enter the Email for your account and click Reset password. If there is an account registered under that email address, Figma will send a password reset email to your address.
- Open the password reset email and click Reset your password.
- Enter your new password in the Choose a new password field and then Confirm password.
- Click Submit to update your password.
Note: If you no longer have access to the email address you used to create your Figma account, contact Figma Support for assistance.
