Who can use this feature
  • Available on any team or plan
  • Anyone with can edit access in a FigJam file can import a Miro board.
  • You must have permission to export boards in Miro. Miro board owners or team admins can restrict the ability to export boards.

You can import the contents of a Miro board into FigJam. After importing, you’ll be able to edit text as well as move and resize objects.

Tip:

There isn't a way to export boards in bulk from Miro. To find the most relevant boards to export, sort and filter boards in your Miro dashboard by date created, viewed, or updated.

Export from Miro

  1. Open the Miro board you want to export.
  2. From the toolbar at the top left of the page, select the option to Export this board.
  3. Choose Save as image.
  4. Drag the handles on the canvas to include content you want to export. You may need to zoom out to capture the entire board.
  5. From the Export image as menu, choose Vector.
  6. Click Export. Your image will save to your computer as a PDF file.

Import Miro content to FigJam

After exporting a board from Miro, you can:

  • Create a new FigJam file from the Miro PDF
  • Import the content into an existing FigJam file

Create a new FigJam file

  1. Open the Figma file browser.
  2. From Recents, Drafts, or a project, click Import at the top right of the page.
  3. Click Import from computer.
  4. Select one or more Miro PDF files to import.
  5. Select Miro on the Where are your files from? screen and click Confirm.
  6. Click Done once the import is complete.

Tip: You can also drag and drop one or more Miro PDF files into the Figma file browser. Figma will create a new FigJam file for each PDF.

Import into an existing FigJam file

  1. Open a FigJam file.
  2. Click the Figma icon at the top left of the file.
  3. Navigate to File > Import.
  4. Select Miro on the Where are your files from? screen and click Confirm.
  5. Select one or more Miro PDF files.

Tip: You can also drag and drop one or more Miro PDF files straight into the FigJam canvas. Each Miro PDF will get imported into the open FigJam file.
