Why don’t have I access to AI features?

If you’re not seeing beta AI features, it may be due to one of the following reasons:

• You're on the Starter plan: Figma AI features are available to paid plans.
• Your team or organization is opted out: Your admin has already chosen to opt your team or organization out of AI features. Please contact your admin if you have questions.
• You're on a Figma for Education plan: AI features and settings will not be enabled for users who are a part of an Education plan. If you have any questions, please contact education@figma.com.
• You're using Figma for Government: Organizations using Figma for Government will not have AI features or settings enabled.

How do I access Figma AI features?

In Figma Design, FigJam, Figma Slides, and Figma Sites:

You can access Figma AI tools using Actions in the toolbar. 

In Figma Buzz:

You can access Figma AI tools by selecting AI tools from the inline toolbar.

Does the AI features toggle include access to AI features in all products?

Admins can turn on the AI features toggle from their Settings.

This toggle includes access to AI features across Figma Design, FigJam, Figma Slides, Figma Buzz, and Figma Sites. It also includes Figma Make.

While admins manage the overall availability of AI across teams and organizations, some AI features are limited to certain plans or by a user’s permissions.

Are AI features available in drafts?

AI features are available in drafts within teams and within organizations. You can only access AI features in tools that your seat type gives you access to. For example, a user with a Collab seat cannot access AI features in Figma Design drafts.

Drafts organized outside of a team or organization cannot use AI features.
