Figma Buzz templates help you quickly create assets—such as social media content, ads, emails, one-pagers, and more—from a pre-made design.

There are two type of templates:

• From Figma: A collection of templates curated by the Figma team. Use Figma-made templates if you have an individual use-case you’d like to explore.
• From your team: Templates made by your team or organization. Use templates made by members of your team to ensure you stay consistent and on brand.

Browse through available templates to find one that fits your needs then replace the placeholder elements with your own content or style.

You can use multiple templates within a single file.

Add a template to your file

When you create a new Figma Buzz file, you’ll see the template picker.

From the template picker, you can:

• Explore templates from Figma and any published by your team.
• Use the search bar to search through templates by keyword
• Use the categories on the template picker to narrow down your search
• New blank asset: Create a design a new asset from scratch, without using a template
• New template: Create a new template file

Once you click on a template, it will be added to your file as an asset.

You can have multiple assets in your file. To add additional templates to your file:

1. Click Templates from the left navigation bar.
2. Use the From Figma or Your team tabs to filter between Figma-made templates and internal templates.
3. Select a template.

The template is added as a new asset in your file.

• If you are currently selecting an asset, the new asset is added directly after to the selected asset
• If you have no assets selected, the new asset is added after the last asset in the file

Edit or customize templates

Once you’ve added a template to your file, you can customize it to your liking.

On templates from your team, some objects may have template guidelines. Template authors often lock objects when creating a template to maintain consistency with their branding or design style guidelines. Locking objects ensures everyone who uses the template adheres to these established guidelines, promoting a cohesive visual identity within your brand.

When customizing templates, you can use the Edit content tab, edit assets directly, or use Figma Design tools in a Buzz file.

• Edit content: For those who want to make simple updates to placeholder text or images, use the Edit content panel to quickly update text and image fields while staying on brand.
• Edit assets directly: For those who want to make changes their assets and their design, edit assets directly in Figma Buzz.
• Design mode: For users who are comfortable using Figma Design, click to access certain Figma Design features directly in Figma Buzz files.

Remove editing guidelines

When creating templates, template authors might choose to restrict editing in order to ensure consistency with their brand or design standards.

If you’d still like to make additional edits to a template, you can remove editing guidelines.

1. Select the asset.
2. From the inline toolbar, click to Remove guidelines.
